The Judy Garland Story
June 1, 2010 to June 17, 2010
The spirit of one of the greatest performers of our generation
comes to life on our stage through this funny and moving depiction
of Judy's life and songs; her triumphs and tragedies. From the
moment this precocious infant walked into the limelight, Judy's
life belonged, not to her, but to the millions who adored her,
and it was this selfless dedication to her work that launched
some of the most memorable songs of all time, creating a combined
persona of strong will and fragility that would lead to her
ultimate end.
Married Alive! - The Comedy
June 22, 2010 to July 15, 2010
"...to love, honour, and... what?!?!?" It seems we
can never be fully prepared for what marriage can bring, and
how time can play tricks on us "'till death do us part".
Our two married couples -- one, newlyweds, the other, seasoned
pros -- lead us through the many milestones and millstones of
navigating a life together, showing how dodging the destructive
forces of babies, teens, in-laws, and sex-performance-anxiety
can leave us realizing that what sees us through is each other,
whether saying our vows for the first, or the fiftieth time.
Suds - The Musical Comedy
July 27, 2010 to August 19, 2010
Have you ever been so broken-hearted that you just want to
wrap nylons around your neck, hook onto the agitator in your
washing machine, and end it all? If so, beware of Guardian Angels
trying to talk you out of it -- it could lead to mayhem, confusion,
and many gratuitous back-to-bacharach song and dance numbers!
It could even ultimately lead you back into the arms of true
love. This comical musical review of all your favourite sappy
old love songs, set somewhere between a coin-laundromat and
the hereafter will leave a smile on your heart.
The Radio Show
September 7, 2010 to September 23, 2010
Is this really what Marconi had in mind? As the world gathered
around and tuned in to those comedic radio shows of the 30's
and 40's, what could they have known about what was really going
on behind the microphone? Beware of "The Foley Table",
because a real hambone working the sound effects can easily
upstage the actors! Just try keeping a straight face -- or concentrating
on the tale you're telling while the sounds of all-heck-breaking-loose
surround you. (...Sproing!...Klack!...WoggaWoggaWogga!!!!)
